Visiting Mountain Rose

Because our Bordoodles are adopted by people from around the world, we're keenly aware that many people aren’t able to come and visit our puppies in person. For this reason, we provide our future puppy owners with videosphotos, and detailed information about each puppy for sale.

Visitation Restrictions

On January 12th, 2023, our Veterinarian notified us of a newly discovered strain of the canine disease “Parvo”. This new strain of Parvo seems to be more resistant to vaccines and has a very high mortality rate for young puppies. Because of the seriousness of this virus strain, we have implemented a temporary moratorium on visitations to our property. ***Visitations to our property are now limited to “curbside” puppy pickups only.

Picking Up Your Puppy

10-Weeks of Age

We believe that it is in your puppy’s best interest to remain with Mountain Rose until 10 weeks of age. This 10-week time period allows us the opportunity for extended nursing and socialization for the Mom and pups. This 10-week time period also gives us the ability to administer a second round of the Parvo vaccine as well as Distemper, Parainfluenza, and Adenovirus. The second round of the Parvo vaccine will boost the Parvo vaccine’s efficacy from 53% (first round) to 89% (second round).

Puppy Pickup Procedure

If you are picking up your puppy directly from our home, we ask that you call or text us once you arrive. We’ll then direct you to our “safe zone” where you’ll receive your puppy :-)

Flying In To Pick Up Your Puppy

If you are flying in to pick up your puppy, we will meet you at the airport with your puppy. There is no charge for us to meet you at the airport.

Puppy Flight Nanny

If your upcoming schedule is consuming your time, you’re always welcome to hire one of our Puppy Flight Nannies who will fly with your puppy “in-cabin” to a major airport near you (the continental US only).

***We thank you in advance for respecting our efforts to protect the puppies. Please contact us with any questions.
